Our Venues available for hire

The Chatham Masonic Hall is an historic building in Chatham, Kent built in 1904, primarily for use by it’s members and family and is maintained by the Chatham Masonic District Trust – CDMT which is a non profit making organisation and a registered charity No 1040230. To help support the upkeep of the building the venues within are regularly hired out for Masonic and non Masonic functions, meetings and events with hire charges starting at only £20.
To complement the venues we have in house catering and can offer a mouthwatering array of à la Carte and set menus as well as finger buffets and hot buffet suppers. The current menu can be found on the Dining PageWe also have a range of draught and bottled beers and lagers, wines to suit all palates, fine spirits, soft drinks and hot beverages.

Masonic hire only

The Temple or  Lodge RoomThe Temple

The Temple is located on the first floor with access via the majestic galleried staircase, however for the less abled, a chair lift is available.

The Lodge Room is particularly impressive with a seating capacity for one hundred members, with the benefit of an audio induction loop, it’s high ceilings, original Stained glass windows to the East and West and priceless antique Officer’s Chairs, make it the perfect setting for Masonic meetings.

The Members Bar Members bar

The Members Bar is suitable for small gatherings of, but due to the service it provides for other events, meetings and functions it is not regularly available for hire or to members of the general public. If you wish to hire the Members Bar you will need to ensure that no other events etc are taking place and it is only available for short notice bookings in case other major venues are booked.

 

The Back RoomBack Room

The Back Room is ideal for small gatherings  such as  Committee and L of I meetings and is for  hire subject to availability though unfortunately not to the general public.

First Floor Function RoomFirst Floor Function Room

The First Floor Function Room can accommodate up to 100 persons and is primarily available for post meeting Festive boards, but is an ideal venue for parties, discos, weddings, business conferences etc. It is complemented with a fixed stage and blackout blinds. Access is also via the majestic galleried staircase with a chair lift, available for those who may find the stairs a challenge. Full table service is also available and highly recommended.

Ground Floor Function Room Ground Floor Function Room

The Ground Floor Function Room can accommodate up to 50 persons and is ideal for the smaller and more intimate occasion or Festive Board. Full table service is also available and highly recommended.

 

 

The Library The Library

The Library, with it’s period furniture and etched windows portrays an image of the buildings former years and is the ideal venue for small meetings and can accommodate up to 20 persons.

 

 

The Public BarThe Public Bar

The Public Bar  like the Members bar is ideal for small gatherings, hot suppers and informal meetings and only available for short notice bookings in case other major venues are booked.
